Let me make know you what my project is :
I'm interesting myself about micronations for one year. I granted the citizenship of other micronations such as the Catholic Principality of New Texas, the Conch Republic, the Neue Slowenische Kunst, the State of Sabotage, the Aerican Empire, the Holy Empire of Reunion and, now, the Hutt River Principality. And I am also a Word Service Authority passport bearer, therefore a World Citizen.
I read the Lonely Planet about micronations. I found serveral websites and documents, including the attached file, which is related to a past exhibition in Paris which took place in 2007 at the Palais de Tokyo, where the Principality was represented. I aso read the Fabrice O'Driscoll's (R.I.P.) book, They don't sit in the U.N. and the Lonely Planet which you all know.
Anyway, after having studied this wonderful micronational life and its variety between :
-whose are totally fantaisist or simulated
-whose who are secessionnists and claim independance
-whose are artistic and cultural (NSK, SoS, KREV)
-whose are between all of that !
So I'm building a project to open a multimicronational consulate in Lyon (second city in France after Paris). I'm not rich at all so I cannot rent or buy a real permanent consulate. I'm not sure at all that all the micronational Governments would pay for that. So I'm in discussion with a library/café which could be the perfect place in order to organize a monthly rendez-vous, with a presentation from a representative from one micronation, a press-review, some debates + possiblity of record citizenship applications, delivering passports, selling coins and stamps and, moreover, delivering visas.
Imagine : a day of the week. Thursday would be perfect. from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, I welcome all the micronations citizens, especially those who come for the first time. I welcome also or non-micronations citizens, just curious. I explain the existence of micronations, their variety, etc. People can read the books which I lend, look at the flags, photos, coins, passports, certificates, etc. that the micronation governments will have send to me and/or the art exhibitions of artists related to micronations. At 7:00pm, everybody sit and welcome somebody who will animate a debate, a discussion with a 30 minutes maximum speech/briefing + questions raised by the audience. At 8:00pm we stop the debate which can continue informally with a glass of beer, and announce the theme/subject of the next rendez-vous.
The speaker could also stay abroad and the conference could be a web conference through MSN, Skype or else.
I've talked about this project to :
-H.E. Kevin Baugh, President of the Republic of Molossia
-H.H.I.M. Emperor Claudio the First, of the Holy Empire of Reunion and also Secretary General of the League of Secessionist States.
-H.E Tristant Glark of the Aerican Empire
-H.E.. Jamie Sutherland of the Grand Duchy of Francisville
-H.E. Thierry Weyd of the Kingdom of Elgaland-Vargaland
-H.E. Baron Jean-Philippe Arnotte of the Principality of Seborga
If this project succeed, micronation Governments who prefer if they see any interest or use, will be able to grant me a diplomatic position of consul or honorary consul, since I'll also try to promote them into the U.N. states members consulate network of Lyon (I'm in contact with the Union des Consuls Honoraires de France, whom HQ are in Lyon).
So I'm interested in what you think about this project.
Regards,
