I see that forumer.com now is not only advertising "dating",
but "gay" websites too.....here on our own forum; and on all of
the forums which forumer.com hosts and provides space for.

Nothing against gays....as I have several friends who are open,
and some who are still in the "closet", and have some who
are / were members of the Family, and still others who work / worked
for me; however, I believe that if forumer.com continues to allow this sort
of advertising to take place at "random", instead of "targeting" advertisers
who are more aligned with each forum's target-market [ in our case:
politics, micronationalism, government, etc..... ].....then I see a time when
we *might* want to reconsider where we want to meet. [ Idea Confused: ]

Not saying we need to go now....merely expressing a personal opinion;
and was wondering what others might think of the "gay" and "dating"
advertising.

ThanX !!

Maybe they think the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands is a member of the forum?

(Or maybe they take open to mean 'OPEN'......)

I never thought about that......but that could be it;
or at least a part of the "problem" with forumer.com's
absolute piss-poor manner in which it allows for "random"
advertising.

One would think....that fprumer.com would take a look at each
of the forums which they provide space for; to see exactly what
the target-market is for each "free" forum, and then apply accordingly;
which in the long-run would better serve not only forumer.com,
but each and every forum that they provide space for; as there are
surely some forums which will not stay around with such policy, because
they may not wish to present the wrong impression to their members and
viewing guest.

I know this forum is "free"....however......it works to forumer.com's
advantage to provide space for "free" forums; as advertisers nowadays
seek every opportunity and place to "push their posions".

If forumer.com doesn't "take care of business"......
they will be "out of business" one of these days.

I know for a fact, that other providers of "free" forums do "pick" the
advertisers which are most appropriate to each "free" forum; which
as I said, works to the better for all concerned, as the right product
is presented to the people who are most likely to have interest in it,
and not have to have other products pushed in their faces and down
their throats.

Forumer.com just isn't the best at doing what is best for their own good
and future......not to say anything about "free-bee" forums like ours.

Another thing for forumer.com to think about..... Idea .... Confused: ....

If they need or want these advertisers, and allow for their ads
to be random at all forums regardless of the forum's membership,
maybe they [ forumer.com ] could / should at the very least......
schedule the times to play these sort of ads during late-late times Confused: Idea

Sure...there are young-folks up at late-late times, but at the very least,
this could / should curtail some of the viewing by minors.
[ similar to what the TV networks do in a good majority of cases ]

Normally adverts are related to something on the forum (even if distantly) Razz

I mean, I'm on a non-MN forum with some of my friends, named after one of their flash companies, so we get a lot of adverts for the band NERD... with the forum being called Nerd Tech Razz
